Hundreds of colonial-era pictures of Canada have been put online by The National Archives (UK) in London to mark this year’s Canada Day.
The images are from the Colonial Office’s Photographic Collection and include some of the earliest known photographic depictions of Canada dating back to the 1850s.*
You can view all of the photographs at the photo-sharing website Flickr and The National Archives is inviting visitors to tag and contribute comments and suggestions to help improve the descriptions.
