An American friend of mine has written a book called

Borrowed Soldiers - Americans under British Command, 1918.

I found it a really good read, especially since WW1 history isn't something I am really interested.

It would be great if the History Magazine could review it some time in the future.

Mitch is an archivist at the National Records and Archives Administration in Maryland, USA, and also has a Ph.d from the Unviersity of Cranfield.
