Historian Helen Rappaport has chosen her top ten texts on Lenin for the Guardian http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2009/se ... ooks-lenin
We of course do monthly reading lists http://www.bbchistorymagazine.com/lists - what would you like us to cover next?

Just on this I would second Rappaport's nomination of Robert Service's Lenin biography. It's a very readable account of his life by one of Britain's leading scholars of the Soviet Union.
