Help!

Postby Mr C » Thu Apr 21, 2011 11:39 am

Dear all,

I am a History teacher and it's that time of year when students are getting their coursework in.

Some of them have used an old copy of an article we've had lying around the department office from before my time. It appears to be from the BBC History magazine but the copy has no date on it. Obviously it needs to be referenced properly, but the date is not on our copy and we cannot find it.

The article is called 'The Rocky Ride to Freedom', by Peter J Ling and focuses on the Freedom Rides of the Civil Rights Movement in the USA in the early 1960s.

We have searched the internet, and cannot find it. So if anyone recognises this please point us in the right direction. The font style, etc suggests it is from the BBC History magazine, but we cannot be sure.

The students have found this to be a very useful article so please help!

Hello!

I have to admit, this did stump us a little at first, but I'm happy to say we've found the article in question.
It comes from BBC History Magazine, May 2001, Vol 2, no 5. The article runs from page 30-36.

I hope this helps – please feel free to email me directly if you need any further information. My email address is: charlottehodgman@bbcmagazines.com

Best wishes,
Charlotte
