HOW TO SEARCH Use the drop down boxes to choose subject, historical period or magazine issue and then click the Search button in the blue box to activate your search. If you click on Advanced Search you will be offered more options including a free text search – again you then need to click the Search button in the blue box to activate your search

SEARCH RESULTS If the magazine has covered the topic you searched on it will be listed below. If there are no results, try widening your search eg by Subject or by Century. To do this choose <any> in one or other of the drop down boxes that you used for your search. If there are too many results, then to narrow the selection down, try selecting either Features or Book Reviews in the Type drop-down menu. If you click on Advanced Search you can do a free text search by typing a words into the Text box. For example typing "Churchill" will show anything we have done with the word Churchill in the title.If it's book reviews you're interested in, do note that all our book reviews since June 2009 can be read in full on this website. To do this, simply click on the Books tab at the top of the website, and use the Search facility there.
