FROM HANGMAN TO HELMAND!
The Royal Military Police Heritage Collection tells the fascinating story of policing the British Army through time. Visitors can explore over 160 years of Royal Military Police history, from its mounted origins to today’s Crime Scene Investigations and Cyber-Crime experts. Using medals, uniforms, weapons, and photographs, the galleries bring to life the story of individual soldiers and the turbulent times in which they served.
The Museum is housed in the old stables of Southwick House, which was commandeered by the Government for use during the naval planning for Operation OVERLORD and where General Eisenhower first postponed and then confirmed the date for D-Day.
