New York’s first stock exchange was established when 24 merchants and stockbrokers signed an agreement under a buttonwood tree outside 68 Wall Street.
BBC History Magazine’s Tudor audiobook

BBC History Magazine has launched its very first audiobook. To tie in with the August 2011 issue of the magazine – a Tudor special – we’ve produced a guide to the Tudor kings and queens. Our audiobook features interviews with five leading historians of the period, with each expert discussing the life and times of one of the Tudor monarchs.

Each interview is roughly half an hour long, so there’s just over two and a half hours of discussion on the Tudors. You can download the audiobook now, for just £1.99. Click on the link here to take you through to our page on AudioGo.co.uk to buy the audiobook.
