Leicestershire’s Snibston Discovery Museum is now hosting an exhibition that takes a closer look at 200 years of weddings and civil ceremonies, and examines how royal weddings have influenced matrimonial fashion.
Twenty-one outfits are on display at the museum, dating from 1780 to 2006, along with wedding photos and accessories, including veils, headdresses and shoes. All of the outfits displayed have been chosen to reflect the changing styles of wedding and civil ceremony clothes over the past two centuries.
Getting Hitched is on show at Snibston Discovery Museum until 15 May. For more information visit the museum's website.
