BBC History Magazine wants to know which figures in history you’re most interested in at the moment – whether it’s someone you’re reading about, the subject of a recent television or radio programme, or perhaps someone you’re studying.

You can choose anyone you like, providing they died more than 30 years ago (before 1 January 1985), and you can nominate up to three individuals. If you want to tell us the reasons behind your nomination, you can do so in no more than 100 words.

Voting will close at midnight on 3 April 2015 (GMT).

Once we’ve collated the data, we’ll publish a list – based on the number of times each person is mentioned – in a future issue of the magazine and reveal which person in history is top of the history charts for 2015.

To take part, simply visit www.historyextra.com/historyhot100 – where you can also read our terms and conditions – and get nominating.
