In this talk on King George V, Alexandra will take an in-depth look at the role of a constitutional monarch in wartime, and consider whether the First World War was in fact the making of the modern monarchy.
Alexandra Churchill is a historian of the First World War, who has published five books on the topic over the course of the centenary, and is currently working on a biography of King George V during the war. She has worked on and appeared in numerous historical TV documentaries.
