Home of Britain’s bestselling history magazine and award-winning podcast

Lauren Good

I’m Lauren, a senior content producer at HistoryExtra. I create content across our website and social platforms, with a focus on making history accessible and entertaining for modern audiences. You might recognise me from our videos, and I also work behind the scenes in production. My work has taken me to all sorts of places. Highlights include exploring Agatha Christie’s wardrobe, discovering Roman fingerprints on a roof tile, and learning how tablets were made in a Victorian chemist. I’m also one of the hosts of the HistoryExtra podcast, where I cover everything from major historical events to overlooked corners of the past. I’m particularly drawn to the grittier details of everyday life – how people ate, slept, and structured their routines – and I have a special interest in the history of Wales, where I’m originally from. I hold a BA in English and Classical Studies from the University of Bristol and an MA in Creative Writing, specialising in historical fiction. My writing has appeared in a range of publications, and my presenting work has been featured by organisations including the National Trust.
