Lauren Good
I’m Lauren, a digital content producer at HistoryExtra, where I create content for both our site and social platforms that aims to make history more accessible and enjoyable. You might have seen my face in a video or two, and I also work behind the scenes on production. My work in video has taken me to all sorts of places; highlights include exploring Agatha Christie’s wardrobe, finding Roman fingerprints on a roof tile, and being shown how to make tablets in a Victorian chemist.
I’m also one of the hosts of the HistoryExtra podcast, where you’ll find me speaking about a wide range of topics. I’m especially drawn, though, to anything that covers the grittier details of daily existence: how people from the past ate, slept and what shaped their daily routines. I also have a particular soft spot for the history of Wales, where I’m originally from.
I hold a BA in English and Classical Studies from the University of Bristol, followed by an MA in Creative Writing, where I specialised in historical fiction. My writing has appeared across a range of publications, and my presenting work has been featured by organisations such as the National Trust.
