Ellie Cawthorne is Section Editor at BBC History Magazine. Since joining the team back in 2016, Ellie has worked across print, digital and podcasting. She spends her time interviewing authors, commissioning reviews, editing special editions or buried under a pile of the latest historical books. Ellie works across all eras of history, from ancient Egypt to the Second World War, but will always have a soft spot for all things Victorian. She is also fascinated by the social history of the early 20th century, and once wrote a dissertation about agony aunt columns from the 1930s.
