Stalin, Churchill and Roosevelt exchanged nearly 700 messages during the Second World War. Drawing on new materials from the Stalin Archive, David will offer up new perspectives on the personalities of the ‘Big Three’ and on issues such as the Second Front, the Arctic Convoys and the future of eastern Europe.


David Reynolds is professor of international history at the University of Cambridge. His 11 books include America, Empire of Liberty and The Long Shadow: The Great War and the 20th Century. He has also written and presented 13 historical documentaries for the BBC.
