An interactive iPad feature exploring the battle of Flodden is available free of charge from today.
The multimedia edition, which features a step-by-step guide to the Anglo-Scottish clash, marks the 500th anniversary of the battle.
The interactive edition also features an in-depth article about the battle and its consequences, as well as a video interview with key historian of the battle George Goodwin.
The fight on 9 September 1513 proved a devastating defeat for the Scots, who lost 10,000 men. Scottish king James IV was also killed in the battle, as was almost all his nobility.
The battle of Flodden remains the biggest ever Anglo-Scottish battle.
