Thomas Cromwell was a self-made statesman who married his son to the king’s sister-in-law, reshaped Tudor England and Ireland, and sent the kingdom on a Protestant course for centuries. In his talk, Diarmaid will introduce this remarkable man, who is also the subject of his ground-breaking upcoming biography.
About
Diarmaid MacCulloch is a presenter, author, and professor of the history of the church at the University of Oxford. His book A History of Christianity won the 2010 Cundill Prize, and his latest BBC series was Sex and the Church. He was knighted in 2012.
