Richard III

Dubbed the ‘king in the car park’ after his remains were discovered in Leicester in 2012, Richard III has seldom been out of the news ever since.

Richard III remains one of Britain’s most controversial monarchs. Vilified by Shakespeare in his c1592 history play, and long suspected of being behind the disappearance of his nephews, the princes in the Tower, controversy has raged over his reputation for centuries.
