Kev is BBC History Revealed’s resident grammar pedant and arch-fan of all things medieval, Viking and Anglo-Saxon – mostly due to a youth playing too many historically inaccurate videogames.
Under the guise of exploring history, Kev has trained in 14th-century Italian broadsword (courtesy of Fiore dei Liberi, who was kind enough to leave a manual), went to Roskilde in Denmark to learn how to sail a Viking longship (it was ‘choppy’) and popped over to Kyoto to find out that being able to use a fan was as important to a samurai as a katana. These days, he’s a defiantly average archer.
Prior to joining BBC History Revealed, Kev wrote about space science for BBC Sky at Night Magazine.
