Emma Mason is Content Strategist at HistoryExtra.com, the official website for BBC History Magazine and BBC History Revealed. Having joined the BBC History Magazine team in 2013 as Website Editor, Emma now advises on the brand’s digital content strategy. She is responsible for developing insights into online subscriber behaviour and ensuring high levels of retention.
Emma has a degree in modern history and politics and a postgraduate diploma in newspaper journalism from Cardiff University's world-leading School of Journalism, Media and Culture. Emma previously worked for The Independent, the Press Association and Local World. Her favourite areas of history include the Middle Ages and the Tudors, and in her spare time she enjoys exploring stately homes and castles with her young family.
